Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the Flying Tone app and the server at https://pingping.jvjvj.com collect, why, and how you can delete it. Flying Tone is meant for players aged 13 and older.

1. Microphone

The game listens to your voice to find the note you sing. The sound is analysed on your phone only, in memory, while you play. It is never recorded, never stored and never sent to our server or to anyone else. The microphone is only used on the mic check, the practice flight and during gameplay.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: your nickname, email address and (for email accounts) a securely hashed password. If you use Sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture URL from Google. We use the name only to suggest a nickname.
• Game data: for every finished game: mode, voice setting, score, level reached, pipes passed, in-tune percentage, best streak, result and start/end time.
• Settings: voice (male/female), default mode, mic sensitivity and similar game settings.

We do not show ads, we do not sell data, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

3. Why we use it

• To create your account and let you log in.
• To save your games, show your last 10 games and your highest score.
• To show the Top 10 of all players per mode. Your nickname and best score are visible to other players in the Top 10. Your email address is never shown.
• To send emails you ask for: password reset and account deletion confirmation.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the services needed to run the game: our hosting provider (stores the database) and our email provider (sends password-reset emails). Google provides Sign in with Google under its own privacy policy. All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS).

5. How long we keep data

We keep your account and games until you delete your account. Password-reset links expire after 60 minutes.

6. Deleting your data

Delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web at https://pingping.jvjvj.com/delete-account. This permanently deletes your account, all your games and your leaderboard entries.
